New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman says Tuesday’s gun buyback in Rochester took 128 firearms out of circulation.
The event at a Rochester church accepted unloaded firearms, no questions asked, paying for them with gift cards. Seventeen of the guns were non-working. The rest were capable of being fired.
Among the weapons collected: three assault rifles, 60 handguns, 29 rifles and 19 shotguns, some of them sawed off.
