The Yates County Sheriff’s Office has released the identity of a man killed in a crash and fire New Year’s Day on Italy Valley Road.
The Monroe County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 33-year-old Luke Gudinas Jr of Branchport.
Yates County Sheriff Ron Spike says Gudinas was found after his car went off the road and smashed into a tree. The wreck burned, and the body was identified only through forensic investigation. Toxicology results are pending.
