A Wyoming County couple accused of chaining a hard-to-control teenager to his bed at night may get a plea deal.
Shirley Sherwood and George Colton are charged with unlawful imprisonment and endangering the welfare of a child after State Police discovered them using a dog chain and locks to secure the 16-year-old boy. Sherwood is the boy’s grandmother.
The couple was in court this week and The Wyoming County District Attorney said talks are underway with their lawyer. They’re out on bail and due back in court in the fall.
