A woman has filed suit against two Monroe County school districts, alleging that she was abused by a teacher and coach during the 1990s.
The former student is suing the Churchville-Chili and Wheatland-Chili School Districts under the Child Victims Act, which allows survivors of child sexual abuse to file civil charges against the alleged abusers, even though the statute of limitations has expired.
The complaint filed in court says the victim was abused by teacher and coach Ryan Rafferty from 1997 to 1999, while she was 12-to-14 years old.
The districts have not yet commented.
