A Rochester City School District employee is dead after being hit by a car this morning on Hudson Avenue in Irondequoit.
Irondequoit Police say 64-year-old Bertha-Mae Brown died about an hour after she was struck before sunrise this morning. The accident happened on Hudson Avenue between Ridge Road and Long Acre Road.
Police say the driver stopped and cooperated with police. They say neither speed nor alcohol were factors here; the victim was wearing dark-colored clothing and the driver apparently couldn’t see her.
