A woman riding in a car on Niagara Street was injured Tuesday afternoon when shots were fired. Police at first thought she might have been hit by flying glass, but now say she was struck by a bullet.
The car was hit several times and the victim…a Rochester woman in her 40’s…suffered an injury to her upper body. Police met up with the car as the driver was taking her to Rochester General Hospital.
Police say it appears the couple and their car were the intended target. There are no arrests to report so far.
