A New York City woman who was convicted of running an interstate prostitution ring has been sentenced to nearly five years in federal prison.

Feng Yang Chen was found guilty of violating the Mann Act and Travel Act, and of using the internet to promote prostitution. She recruited women from China, brought them to this country and forced them into prostitution, operating a call center in her home that scheduled meetings with the women in 12 states. That included the Buffalo area and Henrietta.

Federal prosecutors say at least 12 women were victimized before the ring was broken up.
