Rochester’s Arson Task Force has charged a 29-year-old city woman with attempted Second Degree Arson for attempting to set fire to the Speed Mart store on St. Paul Street.
Rochester Police and Fire Investigators say Teresa Scott was arrested at the scene after setting a fire near the gas pumps. Police say Scott got into a dispute with store employees and set the fire in retaliation. Although it didn’t do any damage, investigators say there was a serious possibility of a gas vapor fire.
Scott is currently awaiting arraignment at the Monroe County Jail.
