Charges are pending against a woman who fired off a gun during a domestic dispute inside a Geneva apartment building.
Geneva police say they shut down Pultney Street between Washington and William Streets and told neighborhood residents to shelter in place while they tried to communicate with the armed woman. The attempts were unsuccessful, and a SWAT Team was finally called in to make entry and take the woman into custody after a five-and-a-half hour standoff.
The woman was taken to Clifton Springs Hospital for a mental health evaluation. She was not injured, nor was anyone else involved in the incident.
