A federal jury has convicted Richard Wilbern on all charges in the 2003 armed robbery and murder at the Xerox Federal Credit Union in Webster.
He was accused of robbing the bank and shooting two customers, killing one.
Wilbern was arrested in 2016. DNA found on an umbrella left at the scene was matched to DNA in Wilbern’s saliva on an envelope. Federal Prosecutor Doug Gregory said that DNA evidence played a crucial part in the case.
Sentencing is set for February 11.
