According to Senior NFL reporter Albert Breer from the MMQB, the Buffalo Bills salary cap now sits a $33.31 million, following the first week of free agency.

Entering free agency, the Bills had the fourth-most cap space in the NFL at $77.3 million, but have since signed 11 free agents.

Albert Breer tweeted: From this morning’s cap report, teams with the most space…
1) Colts $77.07M
2) Texans $46.94M
3) 49ers $37.18M
4) Browns $35.60M
5) Jets $35.46M
6) Dolphins $33.36M
7) Bills $33.13M
8) Raiders $32.35M
9) Titans $31.464M
10) Lions $29.45M
11) Eagles $28.72M
12) Bengals $25.11M

Per Breer, the Colts, Texans, 49ers, Browns, Jets, and Dolphins all currently have more cap space, putting the Bills at seventh most in the NFL.

Teams typically like to give themselves around $10 million in cap space to sign draft picks and then another $5 million-$10 million in reserve in case of injuries throughout the season, which forces them to sign replacements.

That leaves the Bills with about $13 million-$18 million to play with, in case there is another played they’d like to sign, or if there is a trade they’d like to make.

The Bills can also choose to roll over some of that money to next year, to help sign current players such as Tre’Davious White, to extensions.
