Sure, the Bills aren’t playing this weekend, but there’s plenty of NFL items to keep an eye on this week. Here’s a quick rundown of things for Buffalo fans to keep tabs on during the bye.

Buffalo Bills Insider Chris Brown provides the details. Here is his report:

1 – Patriots at Jets – Sunday 1 pm
The three-way tie atop the AFC East will come to an end on Sunday as New England and New York square off at MetLife Stadium. As bad as the Patriots defense has looked, New England still has the number one offense in football and the number three scoring attack in the NFL.

Tom Brady is likely to give a humbling lesson to Jets rookie safeties Jamal Adams and Marcus Maye, but it might be New England’s rushing attack that gets on track against the Jets’ 30th ranked run defense.

Either way the soft spot in the Jets 2017 schedule is over, and they are likely to come back down to Earth after winning three of their last four.

New England has won five of the last six meetings.

2 – Dolphins at Falcons – Sunday 1 pm
Miami has dealt with a lot of distractions so far this season, the latest being an assistant coach who recorded his drug habit on his phone and paid for it with his job. On Sunday they get to face the defending NFC Champions who are coming off their bye week and still hot following their loss to the Bills in Week 4.

The Dolphins defense has fared well so far this season and bring a top five run defense into the game. Their pass defense might not be up to stopping Matt Ryan in his building. A loss in Atlanta for Miami is a result Bills fans can get behind.

3 – Buccaneers at Cardinals – Sunday 4:05 pm
Here’s your opportunity at some advance scouting of the Bills next opponent. After giving away a Thursday night win over New England with a couple of missed field goals late, Tampa Bay has to rebound and go up against a Cardinals team that just put a future Hall of Famer in their backfield by the name of Adrian Peterson.

The Bucs have a lot of weapons on offense, but their defense has struggled in every area except run defense.

4 – Can Hyde hold onto top spot for INTs?
Heading into Week 6 action, Bills safety Micah Hyde leads the league in interceptions with four, but he can’t add to that total this week. Will someone pass him this weekend?

The two closest pursuers of Hyde are Jacksonville’s Tashaun Gipson and Indianapolis rookie Malik Hooker who each have three interceptions this season.

5 – Will White still lead NFL in pass breakups? Tre White

The rookie goes into the weekend the league leader in pass breakups with 11. Will he still be in the top spot come Monday?

Jacksonville’s Jalen Ramsey and Kansas City’s Terrance Mitchell each have nine pass breakups this season. The Jaguars face the Rams and Mitchell’s Chiefs play the Steelers.
