Ontario County Deputies have charged a West Henrietta man with Felony DWI after he rolled his car on Route 251 near Phillips Road in Victor.
The Ontario County Sheriff’s Office says 26-year-old Eric Zona was found walking along the road after the crash was reported to 911. Deputies say they and fire companies from Fishers and Victor arrived to find the car engulfed in flames beside the road. After dousing the fire, first responders found the driver missing.
A search quickly found Zona. He was taken to Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua to be treated for his injuries, and a blood test found he was intoxicated. The charge is a felony because of a previous conviction.
