The Rochester Rhinos edged FC Cincinatti, 2-1, on Wednesday night at Rhinos Stadium.
Mike Garzi scored in the 34th minute, and Steevan dos Santos netted what proved to be the game-winner on a penalty kick that put the Rhinos ahead 2-0 in the 65th minute.
Two former Rhinos played for Cincinnati, defenders Pat McMahon and Tyler Polak.
The visitors outshot the Rhinos, 10-8, and took 6 corner kicks to 3 for the hosts.
Rochester (7-4-4) moved into a fourth place tie with the Charlotte Independence with 25 points in the Eastern Conference of the USL.

The Rochester Red Wings lost their third consecutive game on Wednesday night as Lehigh Valley notched a 2-0 victory in Allentown.
With the defeat, Rochester (50-38) dropped into third place in the North Division, a half game behind the IronPigs (50-37), and 4.5 games behind first place Scranton/Wilkes-Barre (54-33).
The Red Wings were held to just 4 hits by Tommy Field, Jorge Polanco, Adam Brett Walker, and Darin Mastroianni.
Rochester starter Jason Wheeler gave up both runs in taking the loss.
*NOTES — Red Wings right-hander Jose Berrios has been added to the Triple-A All-Star Game, which takes place on Wednesday, July 13 in Charlotte.
The All-Star selection is the fourth consecutive for the 22-year-old from Puerto Rico, joining 2015 with Double-A Chattanooga (Southern League), 2014 with Single-A Ft. Myers (Florida State League) and Single-A Cedar Rapids (Midwest League). Berrios also pitched in back-to-back Futures Games beginning in 2014 and 2015.
Berrios was named International League Pitcher of the Week on Monday after allowing two runs (one earned) over 16.0 innings in two starts. The former 32nd overall pick in 2012 is 8-3 with a 2.43 ERA in 12 Triple-A starts this season with 48 hits, 26 runs (21 earned), 27 walks and 80 strikeouts in 77.2 innings. He leads the league with a 0.97 WHIP, is tied for the lead in wins, ranks second with a .180 average against and is fourth in ERA.
He joins left-hander Jason Wheeler, infielder Jorge Polanco and pitching coach Stu Cliburn as Red Wings selected to this year’s game as the International League All-Stars take on the Pacific Coast League selections at BB&T Ballpark in Charlotte, NC on Wednesday, July 13 at 7:05 p.m. ET. The game will be televised on MLB Network.

The Rochester Americans announced today that the team’s Home Opener for the 2016-17 American Hockey League regular season will be played on Friday, Oct. 14 at the Blue Cross Arena.
While the full 2016-17 AHL regular season schedule with dates and opponents will not be announced until later this summer, the Amerks have six guaranteed home dates on the calendar for next season. In addition to the Home Opener on Friday, Oct. 14, other highlights of the schedule are the annual game the day after Thanksgiving (Friday, Nov. 25) and the popular Irish Night game on Friday, March 10.
