The New York State Commission on Judicial Conduct has admonished a Webster Town Justice for failing to handle a number of small claims cases in a timely manner.
The commission says Judge David Corretorre should have ruled on the half-dozen cases within 30 days by state law. But he didn’t get around to them, keeping the parties waiting for five months up to nearly four years in one case.
The Webter Town Board said in a statement that Judge Corretorre has had an unblemished record for more than 30 years, and they’re confident this won’t happen again. The board considers the matter closed.
