State Police have charged a Webster couple with identity theft after they allegedly used their 89-year-old father’s ID to siphon money from his retirement annuity.
They charged 50-year-old Eric Steinorth and 51-year-old Kimberly Steinorth after an investigation found they had taken money from his annuity and put it into a checking account they opened in his name. They used the money for their own benefit.
Police say the couple may have been involved in other scams that are now being investigated.
Both were arraigned in Victor Town Court with bail set at $2,000 for Eric and $1,000 for Kimberly. They’ll be back in court October 20th.
