Farm MarketThe tomato issue continues to stew in Webster, as the town board has granted Intergrow Greenhouses permission to put buildings on land that’s under a conservation easement.

Intergrow wants to put 75 acres of greenhouses on a 114-acre parcel of the former Schreiber Family farm at Salt and State Roads in Webster. Neighbors are opposed to what they say is more industry than farm, and argued that the conservation easement should block the development.

The town board ruled greenhouses don’t violate the requirement that the land be kept for agricultural uses.
