Greece Police announced shortly before 3:00 p.m. that they’re again closing Edgemere Drive because wind driven waves are sending water flooding across yards, around and through homes and across the road.
Police have closed Edgemere from Dewey Avenue to Island Cottage Road past Round Pond, and from Long Pond Road west to Lowden Point Road. Only residents and local traffic are being allowed in. Drivers are asked to please stay out of the area.
Waves began pounding the coast again Friday afternoon along Edgemere Drive in Greece. It’s not as bad as last weekend’s flooding, but it’s just getting started…
Meanwhile, lakeshore homeowners are still lining up at the Greece DPW on Long Pond Road, picking up loads of sandbags to hopefully keep the water out of their homes…

People are still fishing at Buck Pond off Edgemere, although water is getting close to the bottom of the inlet bridge…
And the inlet is very close to eating the driveway of the neighboring house…
And at least one or two guys are out fishing at the Buck Pond access, even though half of it is underwater….
