City Water Bureau crews got Chestnut Street open one lane each way Wednesday evening, after spending the night before and all day fixing a broken water main.
The leak flooded the basements and parking garages of the 
office buildings around the corner of Chestnut and Court Streets. Police barricaded the street and crews dug up the pavement to get at the leak.
They had partial repairs completed by evening and will finish up Thursday.
