The Willow Domestic Violence Center held a virtual ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday for its new headquarters, shelter and training facility. It was a virtual ribbon cutting because they’re not saying where in the Rochester area the center is.
Willow helps men and women who are victims of domestic violence to get out of their abusive situation, including providing temporary housing for people trying to escape from abusive situations. They don’t release the secure location of their center.
Willow raised more than $8 million over three years and announced a $500,000 gift from Ed Shill and Molly Branch Shill, naming the new facility The Shill Family Building.
