Five teen offenders have been moved from the Monroe County Children’s Detention Center to the County Jail after an affair over the weekend that injured four Monroe County Deputies and a center worker.
The teenagers were sent to jail Monday with permission from the State Office of Children and Family Services and the State Commission of Correction. They’ll be housed in a special unit away from adult inmates. All five offenders are 17, according to county officials. Two are charged with murder and three with first-degree robbery.
