Twelve minutes later a 28-year-old man was shot on Rugby Avenue and was left with serious injuries.
And shortly after that, a 16-year-old was shot in the face near Pennsylvania Avenue and Sixth Street. Officers investigating this case were approached by a crowd of about 25 people who began to shout and, push and shove the officers. One officer was punched in the face and another suffered a minor injury coming to his aid.
