Voters in the Victor Central School District approved a $25 million capital project in a referendum yesterday by a vote of 406 to 178.
Fewer than 600 of more than 16.600 eligible voters showed up at the Victor Intermediate School to cast their ballots.
The project starts in 2018 and the school district says it won’t affect local property taxes. It will include upgrades to all district buildings, a $4 million energy performance contract, new energy-efficient lighting and mechanical systems.
New York State is paying for all but about $3 million in local funding.
