A man is dead after he jumped off the Bay Bridge in Webster Saturday afternoon.
New York State Police say they were called about 4:45 p.m. after a man parked his car near a tow truck whose driver was helping a disabled vehicle. The adult male then jumped off the eastbound side of the bridge into Irondequoit Bay in view of witnesses.
The Point Pleasant Fire Department recovered the man’s body and it was turned over to the Monroe County Medical Examiner. Irondequoit and Webster Police assisted State Police with their investigation, which is still underway.
