Governor Cuomo on Tuesday announced expansions to New York’s vaccination guidelines, saying people 60 and over are now eligible for the coronavirus vaccine starting Wednesday.

The governor said starting March 17th, all vaccination sites around the state will be able to vaccinate anyone who is eligible. Pharmacy vaccination sites will be the exception to that rule. They will specifically handle people 60 or over and teachers.

Beginning on the 17th, all public-facing public employees, not-for-profit emergency workers and building workers become eligible.

Cuomo made the announcement at a closed-to-press event at the State Fairgrounds in Syracuse.
