Governor Andrew Cuomo says New York will extend its COVID-19 vaccination program to those 30 and up beginning on Tuesday, March 30th. New Yorkers 16-and-up will be eligible to get vaccinated beginning April 6th. That’s nearly a month earlier than President Biden’s deadline of May 1st.

The governor’s office says more than nine million total doses have been administered statewide, with more than 171,000 over the past 24 hours. Nearly a third of New Yorkers have now received at least their first dose of the vaccine.
