The new interim president of the University of Rochester says in a letter to the university community that he’s hoping for “a period of healing and rebuilding.”
Richard Feldman will take over from Joel Seligman as of March 1st. Seligman announced last week that he’s stepping down after the investigation into the UR’s handling of sexual misconduct allegations against professor Florian Jaeger.
Feldman’s letter welcomes students and staff back for the spring semester and says he’ll be meeting this week with various committees to discuss where the university goes from here. He says a plan of action will be developed and made public.
