The University of Rochester says undergraduate tuition for the next school year will go from $49,260 up to $51,090, an increase of close to four percent.
At the same time, room and board is going from $14,818 to $15,234. That’s up by just under three-and-a-half percent.
Add up the bill, and freshman year at the U of R will cost a prospective student well more than than $66,000.
Graduate schools such as the Eastman School of Music are seeing similar increases.
The University of Rochester says it’s increasing financial aid for next school year by more than four percent to a pool of more than $138 million in an effort to keep classes affordable.
