More than 1,300 new University of Rochester students went to work around the city at various community project sites…in the 28th annual Wilson Day of Community Service.
The university founded the tradition to get students involved with the community where they’ll be living. This year they worked at least four hours after being bused to 75 different project sites around Rochester.
They included East High School, the Genesee Land Trust and Rochester Refugee Resettlement Services.
