University of Rochester officials are concerned at  surge of COVID-19 cases on campus, even as infection rates decline across Monroe County. The University Vice Provost and Director of Health Services, Ralph Manchester, said the number of cases over the past two weeks alone is nearly equal to the number of cases reported for the first two months of the fall semester.

The University says if it gets 100 or more cases detected over a two-week period, it will move classes online and limit dining services to take-out only.

This would apply to both the University of Rochester River Campus, and the Eastman School of Music.
