One of the former University of Rochester students who survived a kidnapping and SWAT Team rescue has told his story to the Chicago Tribune, his hometown paper.
Nicholas Kollias was a senior at the University of Rochester when a chance decision to tag along with a friend at what they thought would be an off-campus party turned into a 40 hour ordeal.
Kollias was shot, breaking his leg, and tortured before he and the other student were rescued. Today, he’s working at a financial services firm in Chicago and continuing physical therapy for his leg injury.
