A spokesman for Rochester Gas and Electric and National Grid’s parent company says it will be a multi-day process to get all the power back on after Wednesday’s wind storm.
The storm that toppled three tractor-trailer rigs in Monroe County still has utility crews working to get power back on for thousands of Rochester-area residents.
Rochester Gas and Electric reports now fewer than 3,000 people still to be reconnected Thursday evening, and National Grid reported fewer than 11,000 customers out, most of them in Central New York and the Hudson Valley. Most of their Rochester area customers are back on.
