The Lyons Central School District says it has locked down all schools Thursday after receiving a possible threat to its buildings. Students and staff are safe.
A robocall from Superintendent Don Putnam to district parents said all students were kept safely in their classrooms and continuing instruction. But students weren’t dismissed until the close of school, and all after school activities including sports practice and games were canceled for today.
The district says it’s working with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office to investigate the situation, keeping student and staff safety their number one priority.
