Six United Way agencies across the Rochester and Finger Lakes region have merged, forming a single United Way that will serve Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Wayne and Wyoming Counties.
At a press conference, the agencies announced that they want to have a greater impact across the Finger Lakes region, and also that all Community Impact Fund partner agencies will see their United Way funding return to pre-pandemic levels. Nearly $12.9 million in funding will go to 190 programs across the six-county region beginning in August.
