United Way has launched its 2017 community campaign with a goal of $25.2 million.
Campaign Chair Ray Isaac of Isaac Heating and Cooling says when the community’s needs are met, people and businesses will thrive.
Last year, United Way raised its campaign goal for the first time in nearly a decade. In June the organization announced that it toped that $25 million goal, raising just over $25.1 million. More than $13 million of those funds supported United Way’s Community Fund.
United Way says that provides health care for 800 new moms and their babies, after school music, science and reading programs for 4,700 students and wellness programs for 13,000 seniors…among other programs supported by the fund.
