Rochester wins 3rd straight with 12-6 victory over Muskegon.
The Rochester Lancers traveled to Michigan for a pair of games over the weekend.
The Lancers embarked on their first road trip of the season and won their third consecutive game Friday night with a 12-6 victory over the Muskegon Risers.
Rochester trailed 3-2 at halftime, after being outshot 10-4, but took control of the game in the third quarter as they blanked the Risers, 3-0, while holding the hosts without a shot on goal.
The Lancers put the contest away with a 7-goal fourth period. Rochester outshot Muskegon, 21-13, for the game.
Irondequoit native and team captain Jake Schindler and Luis Hidalgo paced the offense with 3 goals apiece. Austin Gerber and August Finn contributed 2 goals each for Rochester.
Rochester is 3-0 and are in first place in the Eastern Division.
The Lancers play again Saturday at 5:50 PM in a rematch with the Detroit Waza Flo.
Rochester returns to the Dome Arena on Friday, Feb 1 and Saturday, Feb .2 at 7 PM both nights against the Chicago Mustang and Cincinnati Swerve, respectively.
