The top federal prosecutor for the Buffalo-Rochester region is retiring later this month, after nearly 30 years with the Department of Justice.
The U.S. Attorney for Western New York…Bill Hochul…says he’s stepping down on October 28th. He was appointed by President Obama in 2009 and confirmed in 2010. Hochul says the threats to Americans have changed over the years of his service, but the commitment of law enforcement to protect and serve the public has never wavered.
He says it’s been an honor to work with what he calls “these heroes.”
