Voters in the Brighton and the Brockport School Districts will vote again on their budgets today (Tues) after they were defeated last month.

Brighton voters failed to deliver a supermajority to allow their district to ignore the state’s two percent tax increase cap. Brockport voters rejected the budget outright.

The Brockport district is presenting the original budget for a second vote. If it fails again, they’ll have to go to an austerity budget. Brighton is also submitting the same plan again hoping to get 60 percent in favor this time.
