Rochester Police solved two robberies on Tuesday.
The first took place shortly after three p.m. at the Pet Supplies Plus store on Monroe Avenue, where a 28-year-old woman reported being approached by a man and a woman who stole her purse. Shortly after, police were alerted that one of the victim’s credit cards was being used at a nearby business. Officers quickly flooded the area and caught the suspects. The victim was not injured.
Bernea Roberson, 22, and Antwan Parker, 27, were charged with robbery and grand larceny.
At about 11:15 p.m. officers were called to North Clinton Avenue where a man was opening his car door and was approached from behind by a man who stole his car. The victim wasn’t injured. Police spotted the stolen car about an hour later in the area of Lyell and Plymouth Avenues and stopped it.
Arrested were Dean Steiner, 31, ad a second suspect. Steiner, a Rochester man, was charged with Robbery and grand larceny. The unidentified second suspect with misdemeanor unauthorized use of a vehicle.
