Police say two Rochester men were injured in separate shooting incidents in the city Monday night.
The first came about 8:20 when an 18-year-old man arrived at Strong Memorial Hospital seeking help for a gunshot wound. Police say he was shot on Evangeline Street and is recovering.
About an hour later, officers were called to Lyell Avenue near Saratoga Avenue for a call of a person shot. They found a 20-year-old city man shot in the upper body. He was also taken to Strong and is expected to recover.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
