A Rochester 17-year-old and a Spencerport man are the latest people to be arrested by Rochester police for being involved in the riot that broke out two weekends ago following a Black Lives Matter demonstration in downtown Rochester.
The teenager has been charged with rioting, criminal mischief, attempted arson and attempted assault for allegedly smashing a light bar on a police car, trying to light a city-owned car on fire and throwing a hammer at a police officer.
And 25-year-old William Galetto is charged with rioting and criminal mischief. He allegedly ripped equipment out of a police car and turned on a hose inside the Court Exchange Building, causing damage to the interior.
Both were released on appearance tickets.
