Two men were killed in Rochester incidents Thursday evening, one shot and one stabbed.
Police say the first victim was a man in his 30s, drive to St. Mary’s Hospital Urgent Care on Genesee Street with multiple stab wounds. He was pronounced dead in the entrance vestibule. Police say he was in a fight with an unknown suspect who stabbed him on Angle Street near Lyell Avenue on the West Side.
Less than an hour later, police were called to Congress Avenue and Pioneer Street for a car that crashed into a tree. They found the driver, a man in his 40s, had been shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman and a 10-year-old child were also in the car. The woman was taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries, and the child wasn’t hurt.
