Rochester police say two people were taken to Strong Memorial Hospital overnight after one was shot and one was stabbed in two separate incidents.
The first was about 11:30 Tuesday night. A 26-year-old city man was shot during an attempted carjacking and robbery at Varden and Richland Streets. The suspects didn’t get the car, and the victim was taken to Strong shot in the lower body. The suspects are being sought.
Then about 3:15 on Wednesday morning, officers were called to the 800 block of Glide Street for a report of a 22-year-old man who had been stabbed during a fight with another man. He was taken to Strong for treatment and the suspect was arrested at the scene.
