The first weekend of firearm season has claimed the lives of two deer hunters in Livingston County.
The Genesee “Sun” says a 911 call reported a hunter “down for an unknown reason” Sunday morning. The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the man was deceased in the area of Marvin Hill Road.
Another hunter was reported dead on Saturday. The victim was a man in his 80s who fell out of a tree stand in West Sparta. The accident happened in the area of Reed Road, and the victim wasn’t using a safety harness.
