Two men have been found guilty in a shooting and stabbing incident outside a bar in Rochester’s Charlotte neighborhood last year.
Flor Rivera was convicted on charges of first, second and third degree assault for stabbing three people outside Sports on Tap last December. His brother, Heribeto Rivera-Mateo, was convicted of second degree assault for shooting one of the victims, and also with two counts of criminal possession of a weapon.
Both men were accused of jumping another man outside the sports bar. His friend tried to break up the fight and was stabbed seven times. The first victim was then shot, and a woman who came out of the bar was stabbed.
Both Rivera and Rivera-Mateo face sentencing next month.
