More than 50 firefighters were called out early Tuesday morning when fire hit a commercial building at 47 Leavenworth Street, off Lake Avenue on the West Side.
The two alarm fire caused the roof to cave in, and forced firefighters to battle the flames from outside the building. The cause of the fire is under investigation, and the building is being demolished. Nobody was injured.
