State Police arrested a pair of Rochester 15-year-olds on Thursday when they tried to flee troopers who tried to stop them for a traffic infraction on Joseph Avenue.
The driver fled until running out of gas on Mazda Terrace. The two occupants of the car bailed out and ran, with one of them throwing a loaded pistol away before being taken into custody. Both teens were charged with criminal possession of a weapon, unlawful flight, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and criminal possession of stolen property.
Both were released on an appearance ticket to Rochester City Court.
