Toys “R” Us is closing a number of its locations across the country, including two in the Rochester area.

A list of more than 100 outlets being closed was posted by the company today, It includes the Toys “R” Us store in Greece and the Babies “R” Us store in Henrietta.

The company declared bankruptcy in September and plans to close down about 20 percent of its retail stores as it tries to refocus. A news release says the company is facing increasing competition, and like all retailers has been hit by online sales.

The company says it has to refocus the way it does business.
