The Town of Greece has reached a new collective bargaining agreement with the Uniformed Patrolmen’s Association, the union representing the town’s police officers.

The contract will take effect January first, and run through December of 2023. It provides for 1.5 percent pay raises in the first three years of the contract and 1.75 percent in the last two, keeping below the two percent cap. It also helps keep the town below the state’s two percent tax cap.

The contract was approved by union membership and also by the town board on Wednesday night.

The patrolmen’s union has agreed to change to a more affordable health plan, and Supervisor Bill Reilich calls it fair both to the officers and to taxpayers.
