The City of Rochester has dropped the tickets that were issued to employees of Nick Tahou’s at the Lilac Festival earlier this year.
Current owner Alex Tahou was ticketed because five employees at his food cart didn’t have photo IDs or proof of background checks as required by the city’s food truck law. Tahou went to court, saying he had a food cart and not a truck. He also argued that out-of-town food carts at the festival weren’t being given tickets.
Tahou’s lawyer says the city agreed with his argument.
